If there’s one thing motherhood has taught me, it’s that snack time never really stops. Between my own busy days and keeping three toddlers fed, I’m constantly reaching for something quick, so I’ve gotten picky about what earns a permanent spot in my pantry and fridge.
My rule is simple: I want real, recognizable ingredients and enough protein to actually hold us over. Not just a sugar spike followed by a crash an hour later. Over the years, I’ve built a rotation that checks both boxes and has things that my kids will actually eat without a fight (a win I don’t take for granted). Not all of them are high-protein but most of the time, we still pair it with one.
Here are our favorite high-protein and clean-ingredient snacks for kids (and moms!) to add to your next grocery order.
10 High-Protein and Clean-Ingredient Snacks To Stock Up On

Chomps Beef Stick | 10 Grams Protein/Serving
Chomps are some of my favorite on-the-go snacks! They are easy, convenient, and packed with protein. They are my most “repeat” buy! Plus, Chomps sticks come in tons of different flavors and meat options, so there’s something for everyone. They’re around $18.50 for a pack of 8, and I love that they also come in mini sizes for my toddlers! They’re easy to take with you or just stock in your pantry for a quick grab-and-go option.

Good Culture Cottage Cheese | 14 Grams Protein/Serving
Out of all the cottage cheeses in the world, this one is by far my favorite! Good Culture is a thick, creamy cottage cheese with very few curds, which is exactly why it’s my favorite. Plus, just a half cup has 14 grams of protein. Who doesn’t love getting a huge chunk of protein in?! It ranges from $4 to $6. Target also offers a single-serve option for $1.79.

Organic Valley Cheese Sticks | 7 Grams Protein/Serving
These are a staple in my house! What makes them even better is that they are non-GMO. Organic Valley Cheese Sticks have some of the best flavor of any cheese stick I’ve tried. Plus, they come in two different flavors. Another easy grab-and-go snack for my kids and me, with 5-7 grams of protein in each stick. You can find a full bag for around $6. Make sure to check out their other cheese options! All are great snack choices.

Cocojune Greek Yogurt | 10 Grams Protein/Serving
This Greek-style coconut yogurt comes in two different flavors, and they are delicious! I swear, Cocojune vanilla cinnamon yogurt tastes like a fluffy and creamy cheesecake. It’s quickly become my favorite pick-me-up when I want a sweet treat but still want to keep it low-sugar. It’s also packed with 8 grams of protein, which is an added plus! I like to top mine with granola and some fruit.

Butcher’s Bone Broth | 11 grams Protein/Serving
I’ve started taking bone broth more seriously for my family and me this past year. It supports bones, joints, hydration, protein, and so much more! Butcher’s Bone Broth is a thick base broth that thins out quickly upon heating. It’s made with only three ingredients and is great to drink on its own or add to soups or stews. They are $8 a bottle, but they go a long way if you’re just looking to warm a mug to drink.

Solely Fruit Jerky | Made With Only 2 Ingredients
These are a must-have in my household for my kids, not just because they’re made with only two ingredients. But that does make them better. Solely Fruit Jerky comes in many different flavors and is quickly becoming one of the most requested snacks in our house. A box of 5 is $8, or you can buy them individually for $1.89.

True Story All Beef Hot Dogs | Grass-Fed & Organic
These are new to the market (or at least our stores) and are a grass-fed, all-beef alternative for hot dogs! They make for a fast lunch or dinner option, not just for the kids, but for my husband and me. Who doesn’t love a good hot dog from time to time? True Story also has a solid lineup of antibiotic-free lunch meats worth checking out.

Amylu Breakfast Sausage | 16 Grams Protein/Serving
Breakfast is the meal I want to get protein into most, and Amylu makes that easy. These chicken breakfast sausages come fully cooked, so they’re warm and on the plate in just a few minutes, which is a lifesaver on hectic mornings. They have a mild, slightly sweet flavor that my toddlers love, and I like that they’re made with simple ingredients I can actually recognize. We pair them with eggs or fruit, or cut them up for little hands. They also come in mini links, which are the perfect size for kids.

Purely Elizabeth | No Seed Oils & No Additives
Can we all agree, it’s not just great granola, it’s amazing ingredients?! Purely Elizabeth is great, with a range of granola flavors to suit your preference. We’ve tried several and loved them all. It’s a great crunchy addition to top on my yogurt. Or just a crunchy snack that makes my toddlers feel like they’re getting a real treat.

Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips
These are a 3-ingredient chocolate chip, and might I add, they’re so delicious! Unlike most chocolate chips that contain a lot of processed sugar, Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips contain only real, simple ingredients. They are great stirred into cookies, bars, pancakes, or yogurt. The possibilities are literally endless. And in my personal opinion, they are a healthier way to satisfy a chocolate craving.
The Bottom Line
None of this has to be perfect. Some days in our house are cottage cheese and fruit, and some days are a hot dog eaten in the car between pickups. That’s real life. What’s changed for me is what I keep on hand. When the pantry is stocked with things I feel good about, the quick grab is the good choice, and that’s half the battle when you’re feeding little ones all day.
Start small. Swap one or two things on your next grocery run and see what your family likes. You might find a new favorite that earns a permanent spot like these did for us.
